Objective
Update and support the NBA’s multi-day Rookie Transition Program by improving how first-year players learn essential life skills beyond basketball, including financial literacy, personal responsibility, career longevity, and off-court decision-making.
Solution
We designed and built an interactive, gamified digital app that served as both a learning resource and a live competition throughout the event.
The app guided players through key educational content, encouraged participation across sessions, and kept engagement high during the multi-day program.
In addition to the app, we supported several live educational sessions, developed pre- and post-event surveys to measure impact, delivered post-event insights, and provided on-site support to ensure everything ran smoothly.
My Role
I led the project end to end and served as the primary point of contact with the NBA.
I managed the full experience across strategy, creative, UX, content, and development, working closely with designers, writers, and engineers to bring the platform to life.
I oversaw planning, execution, and delivery, kept teams aligned across tight timelines, and ensured the digital experience supported both the live event and the NBA’s broader goals for rookie development.
